I had an AI (GPT3) generate 10 "thought experiments" (based on classic ones as input), and asked @WhiteBoardG to sketch them.

Hi @TomerUllman could you better explain what you fed into GPT3 and then what output you piped into @WhiteBoardG. I think this is interesting but not sure until I understand the details.
Hi, I gave GPT3 eleven classic thought experiments formatted as Title/Description/Question. I then took the output and gave it to @WhiteBoardG as a gig on Fiverr and asked her to sketch it.
Did you (or another human) write the titles or were they also generated by GPT3?
Titles also generated by GPT3, though all the input was formatted as 'title/description/question' so that obviously helped.
How many classic examples were used as input?
Eleven: Experience machine; Color-blind Mary, Buridan's Ass; Drowning Child; Swampman; Defense of Abortion; Laplace's Demon; Chinese Room; Wittgenstein's Beetle; Veil of Ignorance; Brain in a Vat
Hi Tomer, these are pretty hilarious! In the future, it would be better to say "I had an AI system generate..." or "I had an AI algorithm generate...". Saying "an AI" can be misleading to readers, as explained in this @skynet_today article: skynettoday.com/editorials/a… Thank you!
Thanks for the pointer, I hadn't considered that aspect of phrasing, and indeed wouldn't want to give a sense of agency to this system.
